Calling all theatre fans! Are you ready for Billy Elliott, Jersey Boy’s, Sister Act, and the Grinch? I am!
I personally am ready to drive the hour south to the IU Auditorium to see one of my favorite holiday characters on stage, the Grinch. “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas The Musical” is coming to my favorite college town in November (15, 16) and will surely be a hit among students, faculty, and residents alike.
Before I head to my alma mater though for the Grinch I’ll need to make a pit stop at the Old National Centre to catch Billy Elliott dancing a jig or two. This famous musical will be at the Murat at the Old National Centre from November 13-18th.
Holiday time is sure to bring Straight No Chaser to town. The all-men a cappella group, which originated at Indiana University has since become a national phenomenon. The group will sing its holiday tunes and other favorites on December 7 and 8th.
After we ring in the New Year get your vocal chords ready to sing along to the sounds of Jersey Boys. The show will take over the Murat in the month of January and will offer performances January 9-13, 15-20, and 22-27. You won’t want to miss it. I’ve seen Jersey Boys and am considering going again and then maybe again-it was that good!
And I’ll have to get book club together to see Sister Act at the end of February when they come to town, February 26-March 3. It will be the perfect girls night.
